Northwoods Community Elementary School (NCES) serves students in 4K-5th grade. NCES is a small learning community with an enrollment of about 100 students.  

NCES has a rich history of education at its rural site (formerly it was known as the Cassian-Woodboro School). NCES takes full advantage of the surrounding area for students to develop an understanding of their community including; its social structure, history, economy, music, art, and ecology.  In short, community projects and field study opportunities abound.  NCES has a proud history of strong family involvement in the school community and student learning.

We at Northwoods Community Elementary School, in partnership with family and community, are dedicated to providing a safe, caring environment where diverse learners can be successful, have opportunities to reach their maximum potential, and acquire the skills to become productive members of society as well as life-long learners.
